Scaling the business and increasing its profitability are among GAMIVO’s priorities for 2022. The just-published financial report proves that steps taken to achieve GAMIVO’s goals are bringing the expected results. For instance, the company’s profit, at the beginning of 2022, increased by as much as 10% compared to the previous quarter.
The financial report for the first quarter, published on May 16, shows that in January, February, and March, GAMIVO Group generated a turnover of PLN 52.4 mln. The company’s revenue amounted to 10.2 million PLN and its net profit reached 1.6 million PLN.
If we compare the current results with those of the last quarter of 2021, it turns out that our turnover and revenue have slightly decreased, which is, however, normal and results from the seasonality of the video game industry. On the other hand, the net profit generated by GAMIVO has visibly increased, and it is hard to find better proof of the effectiveness of our actions—emphasizes Mateusz Śmieżewski, CEO.
Although the beginning of 2022 was not full of sales-boosting events, GAMIVO managed to fully utilize the potential of the games released in the first quarter. For instance, Elden Ring, released in February, became the most preordered game in the history of the platform.
Nevertheless, it is the optimization of marketing activities that have largely contributed to the increase in profit generated by GAMIVO.
-The results of the first quarter prove that we are on the right track. Therefore, we will successively develop the ongoing projects and won’t cease our efforts to further develop GAMIVO- assures Mateusz Śmieżewski.
Among the actions that should positively affect the results of GAMIVO in the coming months is the restructuring of departments and the reduction of fixed costs. The approach to partnerships has also changed. Thanks to resigning from a number of smaller collaborations with content creators, GAMIVO can focus on large joint campaigns with more recognizable entities. This resulted, for example, in a campaign directed at the clients of Żabka Polska and the continuation of cooperation with Plarium.
Besides, GAMIVO is constantly working on scaling the business, optimizing the website for the Google search engine, and automating marketing processes. The GAMIVO Smart subscription is being constantly developed as well.
All this translates into both financial results and the growing popularity of GAMIVO.com. Soon, the platform will celebrate 4 million registered users and 13 million games sold.
