Quarterly reports published in 2022 suggested that GAMIVO was on its way to achieving record financial results. The annual statement revealed on March 21 confirmed those optimistic assumptions: in 2022, GAMIVO broke records in turnover, revenues, and net profit.
In 2022, GAMIVO focused on activities aimed at increasing profitability. The annual report shows that those steps were effective and allowed the company to achieve great financial results:
- Turnover: PLN 232 million, an increase of 15% YoY,
- Revenues: PLN 44 MLN – an increase of 11% YoY,
- Net profit: PLN 7 MLN – an increase of 115% YoY.
“The previous year brought much fewer AAA games than everyone expected. Fortunately, our business model successfully compensated for the lack of major releases, so the record-breaking financial results are all the more pleasing,” said GAMIVO CEO Mateusz Śmieżewski.
As GAMIVO set itself the goal of increasing profitability in 2022, activities focused on scaling and automation were its priorities. Hence, the company worked on developing its platform to improve SEO and the shopping experience (UI/UX). Moreover, GAMIVO implemented new features (e.g., geotargeting), added additional payment methods, and conducted efficient cross-selling techniques. We also have to mention GAMIVO’s cooperations with renowned brands, such as the Żabka chain store and video game developers Plarium (Raid: Shadow Legends) and Wargaming (World of Warships).
A very promising start to the year
GAMIVO plans to stay on the chosen course in 2023. Especially since the company has entered the first quarter well and is already seeing the fruits of its efforts from the last months of 2022 and the beginning of this year. Such factors as social media activities, collaborations with gaming content creators, new mailing campaigns, optimization of the marketing channels, and the record-breaking Hogwarts Legacy release indicate that GAMIVO is on track for another successful period.
